National Gallery of Ireland Board meeting, 24th December 1856
A meeting was held at the Privy Council Chamber, Dublin Castle, where Mr. Jacob Owen, architect to the Board of Works and colleague of Charles Lanyon attended to confer about the plans and estimates of the building. Richard Griffith agreed to have further calculations made as to the cost of the proposed building and discussed options for a staircase.
