Croker, Thomas Crofton, 1798-1854
[Album page with text by Thomas Crofton Croker referring to the friendship between Thomas Foster and Henry Perronet Briggs, with a lithograph portrait by Robert Lucius West of Foster and a newspaper cutting referring to Samuel Lover attached]
Handwritten notes by Crofton Croker in clearly legible hand refer to Foster's familiar greeting 'Ah you Dog' to Briggs. The newspaper cutting complements a reference in Crofton Croker's text to the fact that Briggs' residence in Charles Street was later occupied by Samuel Lover.
