Croker, Thomas Crofton, 1798-1854

In the handwritten text, Thomas Crofton Croker refers to the qualities of Foster's character, the nature of Foster's friendship with Gerald Griffin and the assistance Griffin received from William Maginn. Crofton Croker also recalls Griffin's shock at Foster's sudden death and Griffin's account of it. He also refers in the text to the letter from the Literary Gazette pasted to the page.
